Ever find yourself saying, "they just don't make ’em like they used to"? Prps founder and designer Donwan Harrell has heard the cries of vintage-denim fans worldwide. Shorthand for "purpose," Prps is inspired by old-fashioned workwear, the kind of denim Americans wore long before jeans became leisure-wear. Harrell—raised in Virginia, now based in NYC—honed his eye for quality and detail while designing baseball uniforms for Nike in Japan. Every pair of Prps jeans is crafted of organic Japanese or Zimbabwean cotton in a labor-intensive process, replicating the depth, distinction, and perfect imperfections of heirloom denim.
